Nissan to procure EV batteries for US market from SK On, Nikkei reports

Japan's Nissan Motor 7201 has decided to procure batteries for its electric vehicles sold in the U.S. market from South Korea's SK On starting around 2028, the Nikkei business daily reported on Thursday.

The two companies agreed on the supply of 20 Gigawatt-Hour (GWh) worth of ternary lithium batteries, equivalent to roughly 300,000 standard EVs, the paper said.
